Well, the Google PageRank has punished all my directory sites - I don't care too much about my free ones, but my paid directory is where people will care.

Funny - those directories get updated everyday with mew sites (aka fresh content which Google has a hard on for) - and they get a PR of 0. Yes, this blog which gets updated on no schedule at all, has a 3.

O-well, Google will continue on it's merry way, making billions while pissing off millions.

It will catch up to them eventually.

Well, Google loves this shit. They snort this stuff up like it's coke - the white kind - and spammers and blackhats make tons of money from it.

Good for them.

I personally could care less about "black hatters" and spammers - as with any industry, there are annoying things you have to deal with, and in the end they do make everything better - by challenging Google's algorithm, they keep Google on their toes to constantly be on the prowl looking for new techniques to counter.

So, for all you that visit here and participate in your Spamouflage, you won't see me deleting those comments are adding that stupid "nofollow" attribute to links.

Well, as the original reason for the creation of this blog was to rant about Google for banning my account.

Well, they then banned another account of mine. Then re-enabled it. Then banned it. Again. And now it's active again.

These people are in a serious bind if they can't figure it out and continue to punish innocent users of their service.

So, did you get hosed during the Jagger update?

I am very happy to report that since I don't rely on Fgoogle I am ok.

So many are bitching and moaning about their rankings dropping - and that leads to speculation that Google is doing this to make people use adwords.

Look, let me be the first to tell you that Google could care less about al lthe sites that were impacted by the update, because just as many sites jumped up and took the place of the former #1's.

secondly, as evil as google is, they aren't stupid.

If they purposely approached their algorithm that way, they would never accomplish anything - there's just simply too much information to crunch.

Well, that's ok because I've already been working on other things and when those are ready, I'll make them available here.

Well, it seems like Google wanted to fuck over all the little guys (us) on this last update and rewarded big companies.

Personally, I have not been affected by any rank droppings at all - however 1 client had his #1 keyphrase drop from #2 to 13 - and with the holiday season coming up, that's not going to be a good thing.

I've seen lots of people saying this is just another way to make people use Google adwords. Well, this is of course, nonsense.

Google doesn't give a fuck about anyone but themselves, and why would they give a rat's ass about you? Besides, who has better realtions to Amazon, ebay and shopping.com? You? or Google?

Here's one excellent common sense idea that Yahoo employs:

If they think a click is fraudulent, THEY DON'T PAY YOU FOR IT.

I'm sorry you feel we are infringing on your trademark. We feel

Droogle is a parody of, and at the same time homage to Google, the

site many of us know and love. This really highlights the sad state of

affairs trademark law is in.

We believe Droogle.ca has an adequate disclaimer which is located at

the base of every page on the site stating explaining or relationship,

or more specifically lack there of with Google. The fact we were

searching acceptance into the AdWords program simply highlights our

goodwill as we never would have approached you had we felt our site

was malicious.

We both know this cut and paste cease and desist letter is greatly

exaggerating the situation and no reasonable person would ever confuse

Droogle.ca as a Google subsidiary. We would challenge you to check

the hundreds blog postings about Droogle on the Internet trying to

find one where someone has made this mistake.

Even though we are saddened by your actions towards our site we still

do respect Google and wish to come to a mutually agreeable decision.

We do wish entry into the AdWords program and are willing to work with

you to alter the site to the point you would find it acceptable as

well as move the site to the domain www.Droogol.com which is a play on

the real spelling of a googol.

Droogol is based off the english language word for a googol (see:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Googol ) and is a play on that word

meaning we have lots of drink recipes. I do not believe this is

confusing similar to Google. Even given the fact that this is a search

engine, it is not inconceivable that a play on this word makes

complete sense to represent a site the holds a large collection of

information.

I would completely understand your argument if people were making a

mistake based on our supposed confusing similar names but again I

would like to reiterate my previous statement which was based on the

domain name Droogle.ca

Honestly, I'm not a lawyer and I'd really rather not have to consult

Well, yesterday, Google decided to drop my site entirely out of it's SERPS - Yet somehow the site has a PR of 6 and somehow the site got listed in DMOZ, but somehwere in the Japanese section.

I don't know how that DMOZ listing happened, but I'm not going to complain either.

I think I got hit with an over optimization penalty - at first. But then I looked at some of my other keyphrases in which I know I didn't do any linking to - and they were lost too.

Methinks that Google manually plucked my site out of their index - O-well, fuck 'em, I am still making money without them.

Well, - I used to have another blog, then I tried for 5 minutes to switch to my own site's FTP and that didn't work. So, as I have done in the past, I tried to return the settings back to publishing on blogspot again -

One thing Iwill say that Google adsense does well is server relevant ads per page. Fro mall of the other services I've tried (Kanoodle, RevenuePilot and KaXoom), none of them have the relevancy as Adsense did.

but -

I really think that Yahoo will change that since they have just about as much exposure as G does, and in the end they will be able to knock out Adsense.

I can't wait.

As you may or may not know, my Google Adsense account was shut down on Sept 1st by Google. Now, that was my personal account.

Today, I got an email from Adsense saying that they disabled my employers account. Here's the email:

Hello,

Your AdSense account was found to be related to an account previously
disabled for invalid click activity and we have therefore disabled your
account. Publishers disabled for invalid click activity are not allowed
further participation in AdSense and do not receive any further payment. The
earnings on your account will be properly returned to the affected
advertisers.

As outlined in our program Terms and Conditions, Google reserves the right
to terminate any publisher's participation at any time.
